Bahrain and Pakistan discuss to enhance bilateral relations

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, made a telephone call to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Shah Mehmood Quershi, on the occasion of his appointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, wishing him success in his duties. The Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the deep-rooted historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the various aspects of cooperation between the two brotherly countries, noting the role of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan as an important and stabilizing country in the region. The Minister stressed the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to support these relations and to continue the joint cooperation between them to achieve the aspirations of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples. The Minister also expressed that he looks forward to the Second Meeting of the Joint Bahraini-Pakistani Ministerial Committee which is to be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain next year. For his part, Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for his congratulations. He affirmed the pride of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in its strong and distinguished relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain, praising the stances of the Kingdom of Bahrain that support the security and stability of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
