Royal Hospital for Women & Children (RHWC), a new specialized healthcare facility located in Riffa, announces the establishment of first Pediatric Gastroenterology Disease Center that includes a state-of- art pediatric endoscopy unit in the private sector in Bahrain. The launch of this modern center and unit comes in line with the hospital’s efforts to strengthen the healthcare services provided in the Kingdom.
The Pediatric Gastroenterology Disease Center and the Endoscopy Unit will be headed by Dr. Souheil Shabib, Consultant, Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Clinical Nutrition for children. Dr. Shabib is Canadian FRCP certified and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, with over than 30 years of experience in the field.
Commenting on this occasion, Dr. Shabib said, “We are glad to establish the first specialized center in Private Sector for Pediatric Gastroenterology Diseases and Pediatric Endoscopy Unit in Kingdom of Bahrain. This center was provided with the most updated technologies and instruments for diagnostic & treatment purposes. We are looking forward to work with all pediatricians in healthcare sector to deliver the best diagnostic and treatment methodologies and services.
That will take care of infants, children, and adolescents with symptoms such as abdomen pain, diarrhea, vomiting, mal-digestion, delayed growth, weight loss, and poor appetite, as well as other malabsorption disorders.
